🌏 From Ras Al Khaimah to Australia
I started my Australian story as an international student, arriving from Ras Al Khaimah with big hopes and no idea what “OSHC” meant. My first stop was Insearch UTS, then onto CQUniversity, where I learned just as much from my part-time jobs as I did from lectures.
💼 The “Odd Jobs” Degree
I didn’t just study, I hustled.
I stacked shelves at Coles, worked odd jobs at uni, and got my first taste of the real Australian workplace. Those jobs might not have been glamorous, but they taught me:
- How to work with all kinds of people.
- That showing up matters more than showing off.
- The art of staying calm when the cash register jams.
📈 Career Plot Twists
From there, my career zigzagged in ways no career counsellor would predict:
- Public sector role in accounting.
- Owned a pizza restaurant (because carbs make people happy).
- Worked in marketing for higher education.
- Shifted into education consulting.
Then the pandemic hit, and while the world was baking banana bread, I went back to uni for postgrad studies and became a MARA-registered migration agent.
🎓 Why Education?
Because I’ve seen how the right course can change a life and how the wrong one can close doors.
Before becoming a migration agent, I worked in higher education marketing, recruitment, and consulting. I’ve helped students pick courses that matched their skills, career ambitions, and migration goals.
I know what it’s like to sit where they are unsure, overwhelmed, and trying to make the “right” choice. I’ve been a student, I’ve worked inside the sector, and I’ve seen the impact from both sides.
Education, when done right, isn’t just a qualification. It’s the first step towards opportunity, stability, and a future in Australia
